Sautéed Mushrooms That Will Be the Talk of the Dinner Party
Gone are the days when you could only find white button mushrooms at the supermarket. Now you can choose from Portabella, Crimini, Shiitake, Oyster, and more. But do you know how to cook with these varieties of mushrooms? Here is a great recipe to expand your mushroom culinary skills.
Sautéed Crimini Mushrooms
2 tablespoons chicken or vegetable broth
1/2 medium onion
4 cups Crimini mushrooms
6 cloves garlic
1 tablespoon chopped fresh or dried rosemary
1/4 cup white wine
Salt and pepper to taste
In a large saucepan, sauté the onion in the chicken broth over medium heat for about five minutes. Add the mushrooms, garlic, and rosemary. Sauté for another five minutes. Add the wine and cook for another two minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
